“Hello, this is NCSOFT promotion team.” “We wanted to know if you would like a commission
for a Devil’s Dagger for our upcoming Lineage 2M.” Hmm… sounds fun. “Geekble Youtube channel is
also working with us this time, would that be okay?” Geekble? I don’t know… “Ah… is it a problem?” I don’t know… if I can possibly lose. Hi, I’m the 3D pen artist, Sanago. 3D pen blacksmith Sanago, rather. Today, I am making a weapon for a commission Right beneath here, there is a blueprint passed down from acient times which I just printed out. Draw along the lines using a ballpoint pen to make imprints under the paper. Today, I am making a weapon from Lineage 2M, The Devil’s Dagger. Lineage 2M is an MMORPG made by one of Korea’s biggest game companies, NCSOFT Nike – I used to play Lineage.
I can still recall the fond memories clearly. Running back to home right after kindergarten, turning on the computer and connecting to Lineage server never actually happened. (age-restricted game) I got my computer after preschool. Anyway, this dagger is from the sequal for that game called Lineage 2M. The drawing is complete while we were on the memory lane. Peel it off. It can hardly be called a sword yet. If you make a sword of this size with a 3D pen it can break or shatter
or snap Then again, if you just simply make it thicker it doesn’t look as good. So before putting on this cover that looks like an iron age relic We’re putting in a steel rod. Mark the desired length and cut it with a grinder. Make sure to wear safety equipments. I’ll be planting 3 rods total, one in the middle and one on each side. Drill out where the rod will be placed. Nicely cut. Place the rod neatly, and cover it with filament neatly. Then, attatch the previously made cover on top. You need to leave a little bit of gap when you do so. You’ll need to fill the insides with filament as well if you want a sturdy blade that can endure the cutting action. Packed up nice and full. Make a slit on the side so you can place the rod. Don’t think even the devil himself would’ve put this much effort in this Fill the blades diagonally. Just filling the blades alone takes several hours but I’ve never thought of this process as boring. (ahh so friggin boring) Now you can polish up the surface with a woodburning tool but since we are going to use a grinder later anyway just do it roughly. I have disassembled a battery pack to get these battery, LED, switch etc. put them in the hilt and fix them in place. It should roughly look like this. and cover it up with filament. Roughly. Now, time to use this filament (Playing with Nago) Now, time to use this filament like this I’ve always wanted to do this. Now, going with the devil’s number theme, this 66.6 cm (it’s 66.1 cm) This 66.6 cm weapon, Devil’s Dagger is shaped fully. Now flatten the surfaces and make detail parts As for decorating this part,
flatten the surface first Mark engravings and trim away to polish. You need to be especially careful when polishing the hilt. If you happen to cut the wires inside by accident or blow up the battery or something you’ll have to make this again from the start. Can’t even imagine such horrible, disturbing instance Clean up the place where the charger will be sticking out as well. It can be connected like this. Apply filament to make sure the circuit is well covered. Make them thin enough, and the LED inside will shine through so that you can see the charge indicator and battery capacity. Now time to grind the blades. It’s not grinding per se, it’s more of rubbing the grinder quick enough to melt the filament and making them spread out evenly. I know what you’re asking, what was even the point of the flattening process I did earlier? Well, next time please ask that question sooner. Just kidding.
Woodburning tool gets rid of empty spaces first otherwise there would be holes all over the place now. Draw a thick line along the blade to make the whole thing look sharper Trim out the excess plastic. Onto the painting process. First of all, coat it with a gray surfacer Spraying 2-3 times to cover it up completely Mask it with tape to only paint the blade area. Here is the legendary Chrome Marker. The legendary part being the expensive cost of 2,500 won ($ 21 usd) Mix it with acrylic paint like this to make this dark gray metalic paint. Make sure to paint the insides as well. Apply some black paint on the blade lightly, and rub it with either some fabric or toilet paper to give it a bit of aged look This decorative guard is tricky to mask out so I’m painting with a brush instead. Now we are making the eye of the devil. Make the iris first, eyeballing the overall size and polish it with the woodburning tool. Even better if you can make details like this. Combine with a container for a mold, pour in some UV resin. Harden it with about 5 mins of UV light exposure and pull it out. We don’t want any scratches on it, so handle it handle it carefully. Mix resin with a few drops of red alcohol ink Pour into the sword just a little bit and harden it with the UV light. Place the eye from earlier and pour in the rest of resin. Putting pre-made resin cast into the smaller hole at bottom. Do some final brushing touches and the Devil’s Dagger from Lineage 2M is complete. Perfectly balanced one-handed weapon. The eye in the center is probably from some poor devil. The eye shines long after its owner’s death. Be watchful, as staring at it for too long will drain all your batteries it can also be charged with a micro 5-pin cable. Well then, time to slice up devils. Such as this cursed being called ‘The Cucumber’ Even Nago hates it This cursed creature plagues my dinner table with its crunchness Begone evil being! Beeegoooone Go away! (Dramatic awaying) Never come again! (Nevercomeagain) But there is a being even more evil than the cucumber. “The Hemp Root” The root of evil, more like. (Eww) It will be put down shortly. Die, you nasty tasteless thing! (Dramatic lack of taste) Look at that hideous liquid This evil being even haunted me even in death. (Mock ad tone)
The top of the line graphics, ceaseless gamplay through a massive open-world, redefining the standards of MMORPG, Lineage 2 meters! wait no Lineage 2 M ! btw I’ll be playing as well. (Back to ad tone)
Meet you at Lineage 2M! This video was made as a collaboration with science-engineering channel Geekble. You can watch the other version of Devil’s Dagger by clicking on the card on top right. I’ll be back with a more entertaining video. Thank you. It’s been Sanago.
